Saisonathon 2017
Join us as we celebrate local saisons with our Saisonathon event during Chicago Craft Beer Week!
We here at ABV Chicago are big fans of saisons, so two years ago we organized a Saisons and Sours event for Chicago Craft Beer Week. While organizing it, it became apparent that getting saisons on tap from local breweries was a bit difficult, mainly because not many made them.
Now it’s 2017, and there are now local breweries whose primary focus is this French saisonnier beer, along with a best-selling flagship beer at another. Almost every brewery makes at least one, and the complexity and variety that can be created are countless. It’s as good a time as any to celebrate the saison – locally.
Happening Monday, May 22, 2017 at Pub Royale, Saisonathon celebrates Chicago-area saisons. With a healthy mix of those first to brew it in Chicago to those just starting to (and everything in between), we hope you come out and enjoy some locally made saisons with us! We’ll be taking over 12 of Pub Royale’s 24 taps with saisons, so there’s no excuse for saison palate fatigue! And while you’re there, enjoy some paneer and curry as well, as it pairs well with this versatile style.

Pub Royale is located at 2049 W. Division St., Chicago, IL 60622. It is easily accessible by both the 50 Damen and 70 Division CTA bus lines, as well as the Blue Line and Divvy bike. Both metered and street parking are available.
