Two years is equivalent to a decade in Chicago beer, and StoutFest returned from its last appearance in 2016 to a very different Goose Island Clybourn Brewhouse with a new crop fo breweries ready to take home the coveted StoutFest cup.
Take a little trip with me. Come back to a time when people cared about year-end lists – approximately three and a half weeks ago, or perhaps never – and allow me to share my completely arbitrary rankings of beers released in 2017 that I enjoyed.
To commemorate our big 200, we ditched all of our high concept ideas to bring it back to the podcast’s origins by having a bottle share of random beers that interested us.
The show is on the road for this one as we dropped into four Chicago breweries that are all under a year old to chat with brewers and procure some beers to review.
